2007-2008 Official Rules
1. PURPOSE. Our goal at Educational Tools, Inc. is to establish an ongoing partnership with each of our schools throughout the communities we serve. Our objective is to help in enriching academic programs nation wide. Educational Tools, Inc. (“Educational Tools”) is headquartered in Jacksonville, FL and is a national leader in supplemental educational resources. Since 1998 we have been dedicated to developing the highest quality educational tools for the PreK-12 community. Our staff of more than 50 master educators is committed to providing every school and every student with the highest quality education. There is a great deal of satisfaction for our employees who assist in helping students develop the skills required to be successful in life. We are preparing tomorrow’s adults with student success today!
2. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
3. REGISTRATION PERIOD. The "$5,000 Curriculum Grant" (the “Grant”) commences at 6:59 A.M. EST on August 15th, 2007 and ends at 11:59 P.M. EST on July 15th, 2008 (the “Registration Period”). Completed official entry forms can be sent electronically during the Registration Period. Entries (completed official entry forms) must be sent electronically during the Registration Period and received by 11:59 P.M. EST on July 15th, 2008.
3. ELIGIBILITY. This Grant may be applied for by PreK-12 teachers, administrators, and parents (the “Entrants”) residing in the United States who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry. Entrants must apply for the Grant on behalf of a school, and the school that is listed on the entry will be the recipient of the Grant if the entry is selected as the winner. Entrants must be present in an eligible jurisdiction at the time that they enter the Grant. Officers, directors, representatives, employees and agents of Educational Tools, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, publicity, production, and judging agencies and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible to enter.
4. TO REGISTER. To register, simply complete an official registration form online at www.educationaltools.org. As part of your registration, you will be asked to provide your first and last name, email address, phone number, the name of the school you are currently employed with, the name of the principal of the school you are currently employed with, the school district name you are currently employed with, and your current position. Also there are three simple questions to be answered. No information will be sold to any third parties; all information provided is the sole ownership of Educational Tools.
5. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. Multiple entries will be disqualified. Entries are void if they contain typographical, printing or other errors. Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means are void. Entries that are mutilated, altered, incomplete, mechanically reproduced, tampered with, illegible, inaccurate, forged, irregular in any way, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules are also void. All entries become the property of Educational Tools and will not be returned to the entrant. Educational Tools and those working on its behalf will not be responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete misdirected, damaged or postage due entries or other mail or email or for Internet, network, computer hardware and software, electronic, phone or other technical errors, malfunctions and delays that may occur or any problems related to web site entries. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an online entry, entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email account from which the entry is made. The authorized account holder is the natural person to whom an email address is assigned by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. By entering or accepting a Grant, entrants agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, Educational Tools and these Official Rules and to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
6. WINNER SELECTION. One (1) winning school will be selected from all eligible entries received in a random drawing to be held on July 21, 2008. An independent judge whose decisions shall be final and binding in all regards will conduct the drawing. Entrants need not be present to win. Limit: one Grant per entrant.
7. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND VALIDATION. The winner of the drawing will be notified by email and phone within 10 days after the drawing. An Affidavit of Eligibility and Compliance with these Official Rules and a Liability and Publicity Release (unless prohibited) must be executed and returned by the potential winner within twenty-one (21) days after date of the Grant notification. You are not a winner unless your submissions are validated. In the event that a winner chooses not to accept his or her Grant, does not respond to winner notification within the time period stated on the notification, does not return a completed Affidavit of Eligibility and Compliance with these Official Rules and a Liability and Publicity Release (unless prohibited) within twenty-one (21) days after Grant notification is sent, or any Grant notification or Grant is returned as undeliverable, the Grant may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected in Educational Tools' sole discretion.
8. GRANTS AWARDED AND ODDS OF WINNING. One (1) Grant will be awarded. One (1) Grant will be awarded to one (1) school. The school will receive one (1) five thousand dollar ($5,000) check from Educational Tools payable to the school. The actual retail value of the Grant is $5,000. The school awarded will be from the entry selected as the winner. Odds of winning the Grant depends on the number of eligible entries received in total, and the odds of any particular school receiving the Grant depends on the number of entries for each school. For example, if there were 1,000 valid Entrants, then the odds of winning would be 1/1,000 (or .1%). The Grant is not transferable. Any applicable taxes, fees and all cost not mentioned are the winner’s sole responsibility. Except as otherwise provided, the Grant must be redeemed by December 15, 2008. The Grant redeemed in accordance with these Official Rules will be awarded.
9. GENERAL CONDITIONS. By entering or accepting the Grant, entrants accept all the conditions, restrictions, requirements and/or regulations required by Educational Tools in connection with the Grant. Acceptance of a Grant constitutes permission to use winner's name, picture, likeness, address (city and state) and biographical information for advertising and publicity purposes, without prior approval or compensation, except if winner is a resident of Tennessee or otherwise where prohibited by law. Acceptance of the Grant constitutes a waiver of any claim to royalties, rights or remuneration for said use. By entering, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Educational Tools and its agents, successors and assigns from any and all claims, damages, injury, death, loss or other liability that may arise from winner's participation in the Grant or the awarding, acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any Grant. Educational Tools reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify or cancel all or any portions of the Grant because of technical errors or malfunctions, viruses, hackers, or for other reasons beyond Educational Tools’ control that impair or corrupt the Grant in any manner. In such event, Educational Tools shall award Grants at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment or corruption. Educational Tools also reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who fails to comply with these Official Rules, who attempts to enter the Grant in any manner or through any means other than as described in these Official Rules, or who attempts to disrupt the Grant or the educationaltools.org website(s) or to circumvent any of these Official Rules. The laws of Florida govern this Grant, and by submitting an application the Entrant agrees that the sole exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of the Grant shall be in Duval County, Florida, and no other.
10. USE OF ENTRANT AND WINNER INFORMATION. The information that you provide in connection with the Grant may be used for Educational Tools' and select Corporate Partners' purposes to send you information about Educational Tools' and its Corporate Partners' products and services, unless you indicate otherwise. If you would like your name removed from Educational Tools' or its Corporate Partners’ mailing list or if you do not wish to receive information from Educational Tools or its Corporate Partners, write to Educational Tools at Educational Tools, Marketing Department 3500 Beachwood Court, Suite 102, Jacksonville, FL 32224.
11. EDUCATIONAL TOOLS. Educational Tools is the sponsor of the Grant, and can be contacted at 3500 Beachwood Court, Suite 102, Jacksonville, FL 32224.
12. THIS GRANT IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED, TAXED OR OTHERWISE RESTRICTED BY LAW.
13. EDUCATIONAL TOOLS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISCONTINUE EDUCATIONAL GRANT PROGAM AT ANYTIME FOR ANY REASON.
